3Approval gates

  1. Written wedi attachment and substrate instructions for the vehicle, kitchen plywood, wardrobe, driver grid and cab structure.
  2. Use wedi's published field-cut rules for US9100006: keep 2 inches from the drain opening and remake the 1/2 x 1/2 perimeter channel with at least 1/4 inch below it.
  3. Written approval for one complete microcement primer, reinforcement, base, finish and sealer system over wedi in a moving vehicle, plus the manufacturer's separate reinforced sequence over the moving 12 mm Baltic-birch D1 leaf.
  4. Manufacturer confirmation of the 2-to-1.5 waste transition and HepvO arrangement if that concept remains.
  5. Ventilation approval is deferred until that parked package is reopened.

4Construction order

  1. Close M1 first. If the 5-inch zone and supported 2-inch waste route are clear, order US2000001, one bag of PRO-SET US5076012 and one extra Joint Sealant cartridge US5000013 today.
  2. Close M2 through M6 and the applicable approvals. M7 remains a post-finish door measurement. M8 stays deferred.
  3. Mock up D1, D2 with its delivered uncut rail, both curbs, the paired curved-ceiling ribs and the proposed drain center full size. Preserve the fan/porthole wall reservation without cutting it.
  4. Dry-lay the Fundo and curbs and mark their exact bond footprints. Score and remove the 1/8-inch vinyl only inside those lines; preserve the continuous sheet beneath the wardrobe and across the kitchen. Terminate and protect/seal its edge at the dry curb or fixed wet-room boundary, then inspect and repair the exposed subfloor.
  5. Re-measure all vertical floor, cable and opening conditions from exposed subfloor = 0.000. Add 0.125 inch when translating a height previously taken from the vinyl surface.
  6. Rough in and test the underfloor drain, waste and service access.
  7. Build furring, fixture blocks, cab ribs/skins, cable box, paired ceiling ribs, five transverse battens, two-layer curved skin and structural door frames. Keep the parked fan/porthole zone clear.
  8. Dry cut and label every Fundo, curb and wedi part.
  9. Set the drain, base and curbs, then install walls and ceiling.
  10. Cure and flood/leak test the waterproof enclosure.
  11. Apply the approved microcement system to fixed surfaces.
  12. Take M7, fabricate the final door leaves, apply the approved reinforced microcement system to the D1 shower face, seal its other face/edges/holes, then install hardware and seals.
  13. Hose test, drain test, cycle both doors and verify positive travel latches. Add ventilation tests only when that package is installed.

5Purchase boundary

Lumber-store Group 1 / buy now: one standard S4S white-oak 1 x 2 x 8-ft board for the 72-inch hinge upright and field-fit head; one standard S4S white-oak 1 x 4 project board at least 24 inches long for the dry-side apron; and one 12 mm / 1/2-inch, 9-ply Baltic-birch panel large enough for the D1 leaf. Keep the 31.5-inch partition plywood intact. The Wedi curb remains continuous behind the apron; do not buy Wedi for the moving door.

Groups 2 and 3: buy no floor wood. Measure the driver 80/20 and cab bolt heads before buying wall plywood. The detailed page lists the driver 1/4 skin/1/2 furring/3/4 blocks, conditional cab skin, and curved-ceiling ribs/skins.

D2 mechanism after a phone/stock check: ask Woodward's to confirm the PC100/200 nylon-body hanger pack and short track are compatible and in stock. Buy one pack and one uncut 4-ft stainless track; use extruded aluminum only if stainless is unavailable. Do not trim it yet.

Buy after M1 today: one complete wedi 36 x 72 center-drain kit US2000001, one 25-lb bag PRO-SET US5076012 and one extra 10.5-oz Joint Sealant cartridge US5000013.

Held: two 1/4-in wedi sheets; final cab-overlay thickness; permanent vehicle/80-20 fasteners; valve/plumbing rough-in; waste/trap package; fixed-surface and D1 plywood-leaf microcement systems; final door heights; D1 seals/latches/screws; D2 rail trim/seals/road latches; and all ventilation/porthole parts.
